A good SOCIAL bet for the pub is the BTTS coupon, cos you're always in that until the final whistle.

A punt for folk who aren't particularly arsed or knowledgeable about football but want summat to do of a Saturday afternoon.

"What are you doing Saturday"

"We're all going round someone's house, to sit on sofas, eat loads of pizza and look at each others bets on our mobiles.....it gets really tense, when Dave doesn't know whether to cash out his £12.64, plus stake back"

Re: Is Cashing out gay?
One of the most dramatic cup weekends in recent FA Cup history will live long in the memory – especially for one heartbroken punter.

The unlucky individual in question had a £10 accumulator bet placed on five winners, with potential earnings of a whopping £1,000,000 if results swung his way.

By the time the late kick off between Liverpool vs Bolton started, the unthinkable had happened – Middlesbrough had beaten Man City, Reading had seen off Cardiff late on, Leicester won at Spurs and Palace had held on at Southampton.

This meant Bolton needed to win at Anfield with both teams scoring…

Bookmakers Betfair even offered the customer a £15,000 ‘cash out’ option ahead of the Liverpool game, but it was never taken up.

Needless to say, as the final whistle blew in the late kick-off, which ended 0-0, the punter must have had his head in his hands.

However, there was still a silver lining, as in recognition of the drama, Betfair offered the customer 4 x £1,000 free bets, one for each match he correctly predicted, and have also invited him to the FA Cup Final.

So, not all bad, but still…!

Re: Is Cashing out gay?
I'd have cashed out for the 15k on the liverpool bet. the betting companies have got it spot on really. a fairer figure would have been around the 50k mark, but they are in it to make money arnt they.

Cashing out is the same as deal or no deal when you still have the 250k box

Saw a guys betting slip at the weekend which read:

BLACKBURN v Swansea (W)
Liverpool v BOLTON ...
Chelsea v BRADFORD (W)
Man City v MIDDLESBROUGH (W)
Tottenham v LEICESTER (W)

£6.00 Accumulator

Estimated Returns: £321,835.80

Cash Out (Before the Liverpool v Bolton game): £12,528.78

Obviously Bolton went on to draw and not win..

So in his situation, is cashing out "gay"?

Would of been a wise move, not to sure what the guy ended up doing.

Re: Is Cashing out gay?
Stake sensibly and you can avoid the cash out which is surely weighed on favor of the bookies.

Hence why my 3 homes 3 draws 3 aways mortgage clearance accumulator is always £1.01 ninefold and nine 11p eightfolds.

Still waiting. £85k for £2 next Saturday if it comes in and at least a grand if only one wrong.

I bet just so I can cash out sometimes. For example, I might bet on over 3.5 goals at half time when the game is 0-0. I'm not betting on over 3.5 goals, I'm betting on an early goal in the second half.

Depends. He may consider being regarded as gay by a bloke on a West Ham supporters forum a perception no amount of money could make desirable?

So he was right to cash out then?

Re: Is Cashing out gay?
Apparently some geezer today cashed out for around £15k even though he stood to make £189k if Bolton beat Liverpool which was the final leg of his acca.

Definately not.
I've had an absolute mare lately where I would have relished the chance of the option.

Re: Is Cashing out gay?
If you have a £10 bet and its sitting at say winning £5,000 can you cash out half of it and let the rest ride?

Leonard would probably regard that as bi-sexual if you can
